Less isruleset()

The Less isruleset() function takes a value as a parameter and returns TRUE if the value is a ruleset otherwise, returns FALSE.


isruleset() Function Example

Let's take an example to demonstrate the usage of isruleset() function in Less file.

Create a Less file named "simple.less", having the following code:

  2.     background:  isruleset(#ff0);  

  3.     border:      isruleset(blue);  

  4.     font:        isruleset("string");  

  5.     background:  isruleset(1234);  

  6.     border:      isruleset(56px);  

  7.     border:      isruleset(7.8%);  

  8. }  

Now open the node.js command prompt and execute the following code: lessc simple.less simple.css

This will compile the "simple.less" file. A CSS file named "simple.css" will be generated.
